Job summary

Bolton Clarke is seeking a Care Services Assistant for Bribie Cove, Bribie Island, QLD. This casual role supports residents with daily living, nutrition and dining, delivering person-centred care in a warm, home-like setting.

You will assist with meal selection, meal service, and dining experiences while maintaining safety standards and responding with empathy to residents’ preferences. Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is valued.

• Demonstrated customer service skills.

• Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded).
• Willingness to take direction from others.
• Reliability and shift flexibility.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support aligned with residents’ preferred daily routines with a strong focus on meals and nutrition.
• Assist in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.
• Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
• Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience.
• Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
• Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with Food Safety Plan and Dining Framework.
