Job summary

BaptistCare's Gracewood Community cafe in New South Wales is seeking a friendly Barista for a permanent part-time role. You will work 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, delivering excellent customer service while preparing specialty coffee and light food.

You'll handle the POS and EFTPOS, keep the cafe clean, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors. Prior barista and cafe experience is preferred; training and career development support are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent barista skills and cafe service experience.
• Able to handle front-of-house and back-of-house duties with a smile.
• Comfortable operating POS/EFTPOS and cash handling.

Based at our beautiful The Gracewood Community, this exciting opportunity will see you interacting with people regularly, so a friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills are paramount. This permanent part-time role offers 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 4 hours per day.

• Prepare amazing coffee with your barista skills.
• Prepare and serve delicious food and drinks with a smile.
• Take orders and operate the point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine.
• Maintain a clean and safe café environment, ensuring all equipment is in top condition.
• Maintain the service area to food safety standards.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Barista and have all-round café experience – front of house and back of house. You should have a warm and welcoming disposition and empathy for older people, along with a genuine alignment to BaptistCare's purpose, vision and values. You will need to be available for shifts Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day.
