Job summary

Respect Aged Care is seeking a capable Care Manager for our Morwell, VIC facility. This full‑time, onsite leadership role focuses on delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care with clinical oversight and staff guidance.

You will lead care teams, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with policies, standards and legislation to support residents and their families. AHPRA‑registered nurses with aged care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (RN) or Nursing Diploma for Victorian hostels.
• Current AHPRA registration; minimum 3 years in residential aged care.
• Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, Act principles, documentation, residents' rights.
• Well-developed clinical knowledge aligned with contemporary nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents and their representatives.
• Mentor, support, and guide staff, promoting excellence in clinical care and team capability development.
• Ensure duty of care is upheld by adhering to policies, codes of conduct, ethics, and legislative requirements.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on clinical practices, aligned with best practice standards and governance.
• Participate in quality systems including audits, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee care planning with residents, families and clinical teams, ensuring individualized care delivery.
• Support staff development through training, performance reviews, mentoring, and education initiatives.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external providers and community stakeholders.
