Job summary

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is seeking a permanent full-time Grade 1/2 Cardiac Physiologist to join a dedicated team expanding cardiac services. The role provides diagnostic cardiology services, supports invasive and non-invasive procedures, and participates in on-call rotations.

A Bachelor degree and CPR are required, with Grade 2 qualifications preferred. Based locally with on-call duties and opportunities for part-time sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent and CPR Certification.
• For Grade 2, postgraduate qualifications in Electrophysiological Studies or equivalent.
• Based locally and willing to participate in a rotational on-call roster for urgent coronary angiography.
• Pacemaker clinic experience and EPS laboratory exposure are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical cardiology diagnostic services for the ECG Department.
• Provide clinical and technical assistance during invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures.
• Support the Department of Cardiology in safe delivery of inpatient and outpatient services.

An exciting permanent opportunity exists for a Grade 1 or Grade 2 Cardiac Physiologist to join a dedicated team and contribute to the expansion of cardiac services at RPAH.

The role will provide clinical cardiology diagnostic services for the ECG Department, clinical and technical assistance during invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures and support the Department of Cardiology in the safe delivery of high quality inpatient and outpatient services.

This is a Permanent Full-time position with flexible Part-time job share arrangements considered for a minimum of 16 to 24 hours per week.

Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent and CPR Certification. For Grade 2, postgraduate qualifications in Electrophysiological Studies, or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer.

• Pacemaker clinic experience and/or EPS laboratory experience is desirable, though not essential.
