Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District invites applications for an Operating Assistant in the Cardiac Interventional Unit at Campbelltown Hospital on a full-time temporary basis. The role supports turnover of procedure rooms, patient transport to labs, and stock management to maintain efficient patient flow.

The successful candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, have healthcare setting experience, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in one or more areas of this role – preferably working with people in a care setting.
• Good communication skills in English - both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Willingness to work within an operating theatre environment, around surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with procedure room turnover and cleaning.
• Transportation of patients to and from procedural labs
• Keeping stock rooms tidy and stock unpacked
• General duties to assist the CCL team in maintaining patient turnover in procedural rooms with minimal downtime.
