Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Services nurse in Rockhampton to lead clinical care on the floor, support complex decision-making and guide the team. You will teach, coach and inspire junior staff, promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement across the unit.

Collaborate closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary colleagues to create a supportive learning environment while delivering patient-centred care from admission

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential.
• Postgraduate cardiac nursing qualifications are highly regarded or candidates working towards them.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, provide high-quality clinical care and support complex decision-making.
• Teach, coach and inspire nurses and clinical staff with hands-on education and skill development.
• Champion evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research to improve patient outcomes.
• Be the team connector by working with the Nurse Unit Manager and the multidisciplinary team.
