Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Capability Specialist to support the NSW Workers Compensation function, reporting to the Manager – Personal Injury Strategy and Implementation. You will work with claims and rehabilitation staff in Sydney CBD and Parramatta, delivering coaching and capability improvements and aligning with regulatory requirements.

This role focuses on practical training, process improvement, and ensuring staff are proficient in benefits calculation, claim triage, and tool usage,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in workers' compensation case management.
• Strong knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation.
• Demonstrated coaching ability.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Highly developed communication and collaboration capabilities.
• Self-starter with resilient attitude.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and Technical Training Team to support staff transition from training to operational roles.
• Assess staff against professional standards framework.
• Provide on-the-job technical and operational training and coaching for new or transferred staff.
• Identify knowledge gaps and develop coaching programs to address them.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure relevant information is communicated to Operations Teams.
• Maintain and expand staff product knowledge related to icare & SIRA.
• Support champions of change and monitor capability gaps to required standards.
• Ensure Processes and Procedures are updated and communicated.
• Prepare coaching reports and audit quality standards.
