We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and hands-on person to join our team in our Canvas Cutting, Stretching & Framing department.
This is a practical workshop role involving the cutting, stretching and framing of canvas artwork and prints. Attention to detail, accuracy and pride in your work are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cutting canvas and materials to size
Stretching canvas over timber frames
Framing canvas artwork and prints
Measuring and preparing materials accurately
Using hand tools and workshop equipment
Ensuring finished products are straight, tight and professionally presented
Moving and handling frames, canvas and materials
Assisting with general workshop and warehouse duties
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable and punctual
Hardworking and physically fit
Practical and hands-on
Comfortable using basic tools
Good with measurements and attention to detail
Quality-focused and takes pride in their work
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to learn new skills
Previous experience in framing, canvas stretching, carpentry, manufacturing or a workshop environment is an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person
A forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
Forklift experience will be an advantage for assisting with moving stock, materials and larger frames around the workshop and warehouse.
