Job summary

Queensland Government is recruiting for a role within Princess Alexandra Hospital's Cancer Trials Unit to advance cancer clinical research by supporting accurate processing of patient samples and maintaining high scientific and quality standards.

You will apply scientific judgement to determine sample processing requirements, assist with processing, testing, documentation and data reconciliation, and provide guidance to researchers and trial teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated scientific judgement and the ability to apply established principles to clinical trials and research sample requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and education to researchers and clinical trial teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and time management.
• A collaborative approach, commitment to professional development and an interest in continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient sample processing, testing, documentation and data reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate trial sample records and contribute to activity reporting.
• Provide scientific advice, education and guidance to researchers, trial coordinators and research nurses on sample requirements.
• Contribute to development of procedures, protocols and quality improvement initiatives within the Cancer Trials Unit.
