Job summary

Wilson Security is recruiting Campus Security Officers for Bendigo in casual and part-time roles. You will work in a university setting, performing gatehouse duties, CCTV monitoring, and patrols, with a focus on safety and service delivery.

Experience with control rooms is preferred; a VIC security license, WWCC, and First Aid/CPR certification are required. Training is provided, with opportunities across multiple locations and shifts in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid VIC security license with control room endorsement.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
• WWCC (Working With Children Check) or equivalent as required.
• Comfortable with CCTV and access control systems.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods and work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors & clients.
• Operate gatehouse duties and monitor CCTV/access control systems.
• Conduct building patrols and report hazards or faults.
• Manage contractors and deliveries through dock management.
• Respond to emergencies and provide support to facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Location: Shepparton
• Work for a well-known University
• Must have a valid WWCC
• Control room experience (preferred)
• Must have control room on VIC security license
• 5 days of training paid
• Casual roles
• Level 3

Wilson Security is expanding in the VIC securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the region.

This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.

These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing strong Customer Service solutions to visitors, contractors & client
• Gatehouse duties
• Proactively monitoring CCTV and Access Control Systems
• Conducting building patrols to actively report and mitigate security & safety risk
• Identifying and reporting hazards and building faults for rectification
• Providing support to tenants and Facilities
• Managing contractors and deliveries through dock management
• Responding to emergency situations
• Contractor management duties
• Ad-hoc duties

• Availability to and physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods
• Control room on license
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
