CONSTANT Security is hiring a Campus Security Officer for an education site in Gatton, QLD. You will patrol, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while engaging staff, students and visitors in a professional manner.

Role requires a QLD Security Licence with Crowd Control, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s licence. The roster is rotating with day, night, weekends and public holidays.

Campus Security Officer – Education Sector | Gatton, QLD

CONSTANT Security is seeking suitable security officers for an opportunity within the education sector in Gatton, Queensland. This role involves supporting the safety and security of the site, responding to incidents, and maintaining a professional presence while working with staff, students, visitors and other stakeholders.

We are particularly interested in candidates based in Gatton and OR Brisbane who are comfortable travelling to Gatton and working a rotating roster.

The Role

• Maintain a safe and secure environment across the education site.

• Conduct regular security patrols and monitor site activity.

• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures.

• Respond to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.

• Apply conflict resolution and crowd control techniques when required.

• Identify and report potential security risks, hazards and suspicious activity.

• Liaise with site management, staff, visitors and relevant stakeholders.

• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain daily shift records.

• Follow site-specific procedures, company policies and relevant legislation.

• Support security operations across day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts.

Roster and Availability

• Location: Gatton, Queensland.

• Roster: 9 days per fortnight on a rotating roster on a casual basis.

• Shift duration: 8-hour shifts.

• Shift coverage: Days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Candidates must be available to work the rotating roster and be comfortable travelling to Gatton for their scheduled shifts.

What We're Looking For

• Current Queensland Security Licence with the Crowd Control function.

• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card - valid and active).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.

• A reliable, safety-focused approach and the ability to follow procedures.

• Good written communication skills for completing incident reports.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in education, campus or school security.

• Experience in crowd control, conflict resolution and incident response.

• Experience working in environments with diverse groups of people.

• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and access control systems.
