Job summary

CONSTANT Security seeks a Campus Security Officer to support the education site in Gatton, Queensland. You will monitor safety, respond to incidents and work with staff, students and visitors to maintain a secure environment.

Based in Gatton with potential travel to Brisbane, you will join a rotating roster covering day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts. Queensland security license and first aid are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Security Licence with the Crowd Control function.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card - valid and active).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
• A reliable, safety-focused approach and the ability to follow procedures.
• Good written communication skills for completing incident reports.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment across the education site.
• Conduct regular security patrols and monitor site activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances calmly and professionally.
• Apply conflict resolution and crowd control techniques when required.
• Identify and report potential security risks, hazards and suspicious activity.
• Liaise with site management, staff, visitors and stakeholders.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain shift records.
• Follow site procedures and relevant legislation.
• Support security operations across day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts.
