Job summary

Reddam House North Shore, part of Inspired Education Group, invites applications for a Maintenance Hand to keep our campus safe, clean and welcoming for students and staff. You will perform general handyman tasks, assist with event setups, grounds and building maintenance, and help ensure daily operations run smoothly across the campus.

A proactive, safety-conscious approach and ability to work with a small team are essential.

Qualifications

Prior maintenance/handyman or groundskeeping experience, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong health and safety knowledge related to facilities management.
Experience using a range of machinery and tools for grounds and building upkeep.

Responsibilities

Traffic control during school drop-off/pick-up times. Administer safe crossing for students.
Assist with setup of assemblies, exams, and events; handle basic AV gear.
Conduct daily operational checks: lighting, signage, access, egress; ensure ready for use each day.
Maintain school grounds and perform building repairs; manage equipment, furniture, and fittings.
Monitor safety risks and assist with access control and security checks.
Keep maintenance records and coordinate with staff and contractors; support events.
