Job summary

Freshwater Christian College is seeking a Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis. The start date is negotiable.

You will lead the college’s grounds and maintenance functions, ensuring a safe, well-maintained and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The role combines team leadership with hands-on trade work, planning maintenance, and managing stock, inventory and ordering; you will work to high safety and presentation standards while liaising

Qualifications

Current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain before start.
Trade qualification with current licence(s).
Experience in supervisory or team leadership role.
Strong hands-on maintenance skills and ability to work with the team.
WHS knowledge in maintenance/grounds context.
Current Queensland driver’s licence.
Excellent organisation and time management; prioritises demands.
Strong communication with staff, contractors, and leadership.
Ability to manage stock, inventory and ordering.
Able to work independently and comply with policies including child safety.

Responsibilities

Lead grounds and maintenance function for safe, well-maintained environment.
Plan maintenance activities and supervise team.
Perform hands-on trade work alongside the team.
Ensure buildings, grounds and facilities meet safety and presentation standards.
Liaise with staff, contractors, and school leadership.
