Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to manage a cluster of sites, ensuring safe, compliant and welcoming campuses for students and staff. You will coordinate contractors, oversee maintenance and security, and deliver reliable facilities services.

This permanent full-time role at the Northern Beaches campus involves travel to other sites in the Sydney region and a focus on customer service, problem solving, and strong administrative skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational, maintenance, logistics, customer service or facilities-related environment.
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and manage changing circumstances.
• Confidence building positive relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Experience using technology and computerised systems to manage work activities, records and communications.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Must hold a valid Working with Children Check and a Class C Driver Licence; forklift licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive facilities and asset management services to a cluster of TAFE NSW sites.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers, coordinate site access and inductions.
• Monitor work standards and compliance, undertake minor maintenance and repairs.
• Manage security access, emergency response, stock control and systems administration.
• Ensure campuses remain safe, compliant, operational and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
