Job summary

NSCC is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager at the Sydney Waterfront Campus to oversee daily operations, including building services, HVAC, and campus grounds. The role requires leadership of a unionized custodial team and coordination with the Facilities Manager.

You will manage maintenance programs, ensure safety and compliance, and leverage Megamation and other tools to enter equipment data accurately.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold recognized trades/building services credentials or related certifications as listed.
• Minimum five (5) years of recent supervisory experience in facilities maintenance or building operations.
• Experience in construction of industrial facilities and commissioning.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and change management.
• Familiarity with Megamation or similar facility management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure safe, efficient maintenance of buildings, HVAC, shop equipment, vehicles and grounds.
• Manage and supervise unionized custodial staff and work assignments.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Facilities Manager and coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Ensure data for equipment is accurately entered into Megamation and aligned with OEM guidelines.
