Job summary

Greystar is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead maintenance and building operations across two Redfern student communities in Sydney. You will manage planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate contractors, and drive preventative programs while ensuring high standards of presentation and resident satisfaction.

You will mentor a team of Maintenance Technicians, oversee CapEx planning with the Community Manager, and maintain strict safety and compliance across both sites.

Qualifications

• Track record in facilities or maintenance management across multi-site environments.
• Experience leading teams and supervising contractors.
• Strong knowledge of WHS, compliance, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across two sites, on time and within budget.
• Develop and deliver preventative maintenance programs with accurate records.
• Coordinate external contractors and suppliers in line with permits and safety standards.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant rooms, inspections, scheduling, and quality checks.
• Support CapEx planning, budgeting, and project delivery with the Community Manager.
• Lead and coach a team of maintenance technicians, including recruitment and performance reviews.
• Champion WHS to maintain a safe, welcoming student living environment.
