Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Project Engineers to join our Mackay Operations Team for upcoming shutdown work across Coal Mines in the Bowen Basin. This role is Mackay office based and on site during execution, with permanent and casual positions available.

You will perform project control, provide engineering and PM support to operations, develop field work packages with QA documentation, and participate in client meetings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mining field experience
• Dragline/shutdown exposure desirable
• Australian-recognised Mechanical/Structural eng degree
• Interpret technical drawings and P&IDs (3D models, GA, isometrics)
• Strong project management understanding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Right to work in Australia

• Perform project control: scheduling, cost control, and variations.
• Provide engineering services and PM support to operations.
• Develop field work packages with QA docs (ITPs, check sheets).
• Participate in client meetings and resolve PM issues

Job description

Monadelphous is currently seeking experienced Project Engineers to join our Mackay Operations Team for upcoming shutdown work across various Coal Mines in the Bowen Basin. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team delivering critical maintenance and shutdown services across multiple sites. There are various rosters across our different works, permanent and casual positions available.

This role would be Mackay office based, as well as based on site during execution. Must be flexible to be based on site when required.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Perform project control functions – scheduling, cost control including managing performance against budget and developing variations where required.
• Providing engineering services and project management support to operations team
• Develop work packages for field teams to execute including all necessary QA documentation – development of ITPs and associated check sheets.
• Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve any project management issues.

What you will bring:

• Demonstrated field experience within the mining industry
• Exposure to dragline operations and shutdowns (highly desirable)
• An Australian-recognised Engineering degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including 3D models, general arrangements (GAs), isometrics, and P&IDs
• Strong understanding of project management principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
• Proof of right to work in Australia
