Job summary

Centurion is seeking a reliable Camp Chef (Casual) to join a small team servicing regional campsites. The role is hands-on and involves meal preparation, camp support, and guiding junior staff.

This position is suitable for a CDP or Commis Chef and offers practical exposure in outdoor, camp-based settings. The role requires strong food safety knowledge, collaboration with a small team, and a willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in camp, bulk-catering or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to lead and support general hands in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with cleaning, food service, and general camp duties as required.
• Provide leadership and support to general hands.
• Perform relief duties and assist across camp services.
• Drive staff and transport products between sites as required.
• Oversee staff and guest accommodation standards.
• Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
