Glenbrook Panthers is seeking a hands-on Café/Bar Supervisor to lead the café and bar teams at our Glenbrook venue, nestled at the foothills of the Blue Mountains. You’ll supervise shifts, support coffee and bar services, manage stock, and ensure a smooth operation across all service areas.

You’ll develop staff, uphold safety and hygiene standards, and work with other departments to deliver outstanding member and guest experiences in a family-friendly club environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/management role within hospitality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven shift coordination and customer service abilities.
• RSA/RCG competency and Barista certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily service across cafe and bar.

• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints promptly.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Café / Bar Supervisor who sets high standards, brings out the best in their team and keeps customers coming back.

The Opportunity

As Café / Bar Supervisor, you will supervise daily service across our café and bar, providing clear direction and hands‑on support to keep each shift running smoothly. Based at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Glenbrook Panthers is a family‑friendly club with a strong community focus. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, leading and developing our café and bar employees to deliver an exceptional experience for our members and guests.

• Conduct team briefings, allocate duties and provide clear direction throughout each shift
• Provide hands‑on support with coffee preparation, bar operations and food and beverage service
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and keep service areas stocked and organised
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
• Complete daily shift reports, cash handling and cash reconciliation
• Prepare and set up function spaces, ensuring every detail is ready for a successful event
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across café and bar areas
• Work collaboratively with other departments to support smooth club operations
• Train, motivate and support team members, providing feedback and escalating performance concerns as required
• Promote safe and responsible service, ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety and WHS requirements, Panthers policies and relevant legislation

About you

You’re a confident, hands‑on supervisor who leads by example and supports your team to deliver great service. You stay calm during busy periods, think on your feet and take a practical approach to resolving problems.

You also bring:

• 2 years + experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent shift coordination and customer service skills
• Sound judgement and confidence handling challenging situations and making day‑to‑day operational decisions
• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications
• High standards of personal presentation and grooming
• A current RSA and RCG Competency Card and Barista Certificate
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
