Job summary

Panthers Penrith Leagues Club café team seeks a friendly Café Attendant to craft barista coffee, serve desserts and foods, and deliver outstanding member service. You’ll work in a busy environment with a welcoming approach, helping to create memorable experiences for guests.

Requirements include at least 1 year in a similar role, barista qualifications or high-volume coffee experience, RSA and RCG certificates, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Barista qualification and/or experience in high-volume coffee.
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach with strong customer service.
• RSA and RCG certificates.
• Excellent communication and presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Available for shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and attentive service to members and guests.
• Prepare and serve barista-made coffee, other beverages and desserts.
• Carry out basic food preparation, including sandwich toasting and plating.
• Process payments and handle cash.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, including clearing tables and collecting glassware and plates.
• Complete general cleaning duties as required.

About the Opportunity

As a Café Attendant, you’ll prepare and serve quality coffee, food and desserts while delivering exceptional service to our members and guests. With your energy and welcoming approach, you’ll help create memorable experiences in a busy café environment.

• Deliver friendly and attentive service to members and guests
• Prepare and serve barista-made coffee, other beverages and desserts
• Carry out basic food preparation, including sandwich toasting and plating
• Process payments and perform cash-handling duties
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, including clearing tables and collecting glassware and plates and
• Complete general cleaning duties as required.

About you

• Have a minimum of one year’s experience in the same or a similar role
• Ideally hold a barista qualification and/or have experience preparing quality coffee in a high-volume environment
• Bring an energetic and enthusiastic approach, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service;
• Hold current RSA and RCG certificates
• Have excellent communication skills
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
• Bring strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Be available to work a variety of shifts across our operational hours, including nights and weekends and public holidays
