Job summary

Rosemary by Eighty Twenty in Kingston, ACT, is seeking an experienced Cafe / Restaurant Manager to supervise day-to-day cafe operations, coordinate staff, manage stock and suppliers, and ensure a consistently top dining experience.

You will lead front-of-house and kitchen coordination, maintain menu quality and portion control, and drive customer satisfaction across dine-in and takeaway services.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or related field is highly desirable.
• Minimum 1 year experience in café, restaurant or hospitality management required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the café, including front-of-house and kitchen coordination.
• Work with the kitchen team to maintain menu quality, presentation, and portion standards.
• Coordinate purchasing, stock levels, supplier orders, and pricing in line with business requirements.
• Monitor daily sales, expenses, stock records and other operational transactions.
• Recruit, train, supervise and roster cafe staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented dining and work environment in line with food safety requirements.
• Monitor customer feedback and resolve service concerns professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Assist with functions, bookings, reservations, and special dining requirements where required.
• Support the business in maintaining efficient service, controlling costs, and achieving operational targets.
