Job summary

RSL LifeCare Retirement Village in Ballina is seeking an experienced Café Manager to lead the on-site café and deliver outstanding hospitality for residents, families, staff and visitors. You will oversee day-to-day operations, staff leadership, stock management, food safety compliance and drive community-focused events and marketing initiatives to boost cafe patronage and the overall guest experience.

This is a permanent role with a supportive team and a genuine opportunity to make a difference

Qualifications

• Experience in a café, hospitality or food service environment.
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and people leadership skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the café.
• Deliver excellent customer service and presentation standards.
• Drive café sales and increase both internal and external patronage.
• Manage stock, ordering, costs and food safety compliance.
