Job summary

RSL LifeCare Merimbula is seeking an experienced Café Manager to lead our popular café within the Retirement Village. This permanent, full-time role focuses on hospitality, connection and a warm, welcoming experience for residents, families, staff and visitors.

You’ll manage daily operations, coach a small team, uphold food safety, drive café sales and coordinate village events, with salary packaging benefits and a supportive, purpose-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in café or hospitality management.
• Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Strong customer service and people management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Café Manager to lead our popular café at RSL LifeCare Retirement Village in Merimbula. What You'll Do

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the café
• Lead, coach and support a small café team
• Deliver excellent customer service and presentation standards
• Drive café sales and increase both internal and external patronage
• Manage stock, ordering, costs and food safety compliance
• Coordinate village events and catering opportunities
• Support local marketing and promotional activities
• Create a welcoming and community-focused café environment

What You'll Bring

• Experience in a café, hospitality or food service environment
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong customer service and people leadership skills
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements
