Job summary

Churches of Christ is seeking a reliable Café Attendant at Little Mountain Integrated Campus in Queensland. This hands-on role supports daily cafe operations and delivers welcoming service to customers, staff and community members.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving coffee, completing barista duties, taking orders on the POS, serving food and drinks, setting up and cleaning, and assisting with stock and events.

Qualifications

• Certified Barista qualification or equivalent barista experience.
• Minimum 12 months' experience as a barista and/or wait staff.
• Experience using a point-of-sale system (POS).
• Current Driver's Licence.
• National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations as required.

About the Role

• Preparing and serving quality coffee and beverages


• Completing general barista duties and ensuring the correct use and care of coffee equipment


• Providing friendly and professional customer service


• Taking customer orders and operating the cash register and point-of-sale system


• Preparing, serving and delivering food and drinks to customers


• Setting up, packing down and maintaining the café and kitchen areas


• Completing cleaning duties in line with required hygiene and infection control standards


• Assisting with stock control and liaising with suppliers or the Café Manager regarding stock requirements


• Supporting the team with café events and other activities as required

Requirements

• Certified Barista qualification or equivalent barista experience

• Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain
