Churches of Christ in Queensland is seeking a reliable Café Attendant for the Little Mountain Integrated Campus on the Sunshine Coast. You will handle coffee service, food delivery, POS and customer interactions in a busy café setting.

The role requires barista/wait staff experience, RSA, police check and vaccination requirements, with salary packaging and generous leave entitlements available. Immediate start encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience as barista and/or waiter/waitress in café or similar.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Current Influenza Vaccination, or willingness to obtain, where required.
• COVID-19 Vaccination, or willingness to obtain, where required.
• RSA Certificate.
• Coffee art skills.
• Experience supporting events or functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality coffee and beverages.
• Complete general barista duties and care of coffee equipment.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Take customer orders and operate the cash register and POS.
• Prepare, serve and deliver food and drinks to customers.
• Set up, pack down and maintain café and kitchen areas.
• Complete cleaning duties in line with hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock control and liaise with the Café Manager.
• Support the team with café events and other activities as required.

About the Role

In this practical and customer-focused position, you’ll play an important part in the effective and efficient running of the café, including:

• Preparing and serving quality coffee and beverages
• Completing general barista duties and ensuring the correct use and care of coffee equipment
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Taking customer orders and operating the cash register and point-of-sale system
• Preparing, serving and delivering food and drinks to customers
• Setting up, packing down and maintaining the café and kitchen areas
• Completing cleaning duties in line with required hygiene and infection control standards
• Assisting with stock control and liaising with suppliers or the Café Manager regarding stock requirements
• Supporting the team with café events and other activities as required

Requirements
