Job summary

ISS Facility Services is seeking a Café Assistant for our Moorebank location to support daily cafe operations within a busy corporate environment. You will handle breakfast and lunch service, prepare fresh items, operate the POS, and deliver friendly, professional service to staff, visitors and clients.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organised and safety‑minded, capable of working across front‑of‑house and kitchen support, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and customer care.

Qualifications

• Experience in cafe/hospitality environments is preferred.
• Barista certificate is preferred.
• Ability to work safely and comply with workplace rules.
• Capable of independent and team-based work.

Responsibilities

• Take and process customer orders for food and beverages.

Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Café Assistant to support daily café operations at our Moorebank location. Working closely with our Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll help deliver high‑quality food preparation, barista service and customer experience within a busy corporate café environment.

You’ll assist with breakfast and lunch service, prepare fresh food items, operate the POS system, maintain café presentation, and ensure all customers — staff, visitors and clients — receive friendly, professional service.

This role suits someone energetic, organised and confident working across both front‑of‑house and kitchen support, with a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness and customer care.

Responsibilities

• Take and process customer orders, including food and beverages
• Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions
• Keep work areas clean and organised
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling practices are followed
• Follow good personal hygiene practices, such as regular handwashing
• Restocking items as needed

What you can offer

• Previous experience as a cafe assistant or hospitality is preferred
• Ideally possess a barista certificate
• Self‑motivated with a strong focus on safety, the environment and compliance
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Customer‑focused with a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Clear criminal background with police check dated within 12 months
