Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking Café and Functions Assistants to create a home-like atmosphere for residents while serving coffee, preparing food, and handling payments. You will help with events and activities across our villages in a friendly, respectful environment.

The role requires barista skills, Responsible Service of Alcohol, and a Working with Children Check, with availability Thursday to Sunday including nights. Training and development are provided, along with a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Empathy to interact respectfully with elderly residents, attention to detail, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Must have Responsible Service of Alcohol and Working with Children Check.
• 6 months experience in food service or front of house, plus barista skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering top-notch customer service with warmth and a smile.
• Preparing food and beverages with care, including crafting espresso coffee.
• Operating our POS system and managing payments effortlessly.
• Ensuring the café is tidy, welcoming, and ready for action – from setup to clean-up.

As a Café and Functions Assistant, you’ll be doing more than serving coffee – you’ll be creating an atmosphere that feels like home for our residents! Your key responsibilities include:

• Delivering top-notch customer service with warmth and a smile
• Preparing food and beverages with care, including crafting delicious espresso coffee
• Operating our POS system and managing payments effortlessly
• Ensuring the café is always tidy, welcoming, and ready for action – from setup to clean-up
• Supporting events and activities that bring life to our villages!
