Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Servery Staff member to prepare and serve meals for residents, aligning with dietary requirements and Anglicare procedures, in a supportive, team-based environment.

You will help create a positive mealtime experience that promotes health, dignity and wellbeing, with duties including following portion and texture requirements, maintaining kitchen and dining areas, and reporting changes to your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a food service, kitchen or hospitality setting.
• Experience preparing, presenting or serving meals.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance is required.
• Current First Aid Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and serve meals to residents.
• Follow individual dietary, texture and meal requirements.
• Check food temperature, presentation and serving standards.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen, dining and storage areas.

Your opportunity

You will prepare and serve meals in line with residents’ dietary requirements, food safety standards and Anglicare procedures. You will provide a supportive environment where teamwork and shared commitment ensure every meal is served with warmth, safety, and professionalism.

Your role is to create a positive mealtime experience that supports residents’ health, dignity, and emotional wellbeing through attentive service and collaboration with kitchen and care teams.

What’srequired:

• A minimum of 6 months experience working in a food service, kitchen or hospitality environment
• Experience preparing, presenting or serving meals

• Current First Aid Certificate

What’spreferred:

• Experience working in residential aged care
• Food Handling Certificate or equivalent food safety training
• Experience supporting dietary, allergen or texture-modified meal requirements
• Experience maintaining kitchen and food service areas
• Availability to work Monday to Friday 2:30pm - 7pm.
