Job summary

ESM Compliance is seeking a motivated Cadet / Trainee ESM Auditor to join our growing team in Melbourne. This role provides hands-on auditing experience across various building types, with structured training and mentoring.

You will work closely with experienced auditors, assist in NCC/BCA compliance checks, and develop skills in reporting using Uptick. A clear path for career progression and ongoing professional development is offered.

Qualifications

• Studying towards or holding a Diploma of Building Surveying (minimum) or equivalent.
• Valid Victorian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and Police Check.
• Ability to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria (including overnight stays).
• Australian citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying non-compliances with the NCC, BCA and Australian Standards.
• Learn to prepare clear audit reports using Uptick asset management system.
• Support client communication in a professional manner.
• Develop technical knowledge to assist clients and team members.
• Participate in site inspections and compliance assessments.

About the Role

As a Cadet / Trainee ESM Auditor, you will work closely with experienced auditors while developing your technical and practical skills. With training and support, you will assist in auditing various building types, including warehouses, offices, retail spaces, schools, and industrial facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with identifying non-compliances with the NCC, BCA, and Australian Standards
• Learning to prepare clear and accurate audit reports using our asset management system (Uptick)
• Supporting client communication in a professional manner
• Developing technical knowledge to assist clients and team members
• Participating in site inspections and compliance assessments
