Job summary

Knox City Council invites applications for a Cadet Engineer to join the Infrastructure Directorate. The program runs three years with year 1 part-time while completing your final year of Civil Engineering, then full-time for years 2–3.

Work is across the Civic Centre and Operations Centre with flexible arrangements to suit learning and operational needs. Remuneration for year 1 ranges from 71,147.02 to 75,750.73 plus super; years 2–3 range from 83,593.07 to 97,258.47 plus super.

Qualifications

• Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), with your final year commencing in 2027.
• Enthusiasm to learn and apply engineering concepts in a practical environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Understanding of AustRoads guides, Australian Standards and other technical references.

Responsibilities

• Engineering investigations and resolution across projects and services.
• Planning & development referrals and engineering analysis, surveying and design.
• Construction supervision and project management, collaborating with multiple professions.
