Job summary

DHM Partners, based in Mildura, is seeking a Cadet Accountant to start with part-time hours and a pathway to more hours as you progress. You will work closely with senior accountants on real client work while pursuing a Commerce/Accounting degree.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in taxation, BAS/IAS, and financial statements for SMEs, along with exposure to SMSFs and trusts, while building strong client communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Business/Commerce with accounting focus and solid academic results.
• Ability to learn on the job and apply basic accounting concepts.
• Proficiency with Excel and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts.
• Prepare BAS and IAS submissions and assist with financial statements for SMEs.
• Support bookkeeping and data entry, including bank feeds and coding.
• Handle accounts receivable/payable processing under supervision.
