Job summary

Silentium Defence is seeking a CAD Technician to join the Hardware Team in Adelaide. You will manage drawings, models, assemblies and technical data to turn engineering ideas into manufacturable products.

Expect hands-on work beyond CAD, including prototype support, supplier liaison and field trial preparation. You will work with Senior Mechanical Engineer to ensure lifecycle readiness, with a focus on accurate documentation and revision control.

Qualifications

• Strong CAD capability and attention to detail in a professional engineering environment.
• Experience creating professional engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of revision control and engineering change processes.

Responsibilities

• Create or update a complex 3D assembly.
• Produce detailed drawings for fabrication suppliers.
• Update a Bill of Materials following design changes.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop mechanical components.
• Review manufacturing feedback and update designs.
• Manage drawing revisions and engineering configuration data.
• Research materials or manufacturing techniques.
• Support prototype assembly and field trials.
