Job summary

Silentium Defence Pty is seeking a Senior Technician to join our Australian team. You will combine hands-on electronics work with technical leadership, owning project work and supporting fellow technicians across development, testing and field activities.

You will assemble, test and repair electronic systems, interpret schematics, and drive quality and safety in every task while mentoring junior team members and coordinating workflows across projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electronics assembly, testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior technicians.
• Familiarity with ESD controls and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, solder, test, calibrate and repair electronic systems and subsystems.
• Plan and deliver assigned work packages to quality, safety and schedule requirements.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to support assembly and fault finding.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to fellow technicians.
• Coordinate task allocation and resource planning across projects.
• Prepare equipment and support field trials and installations.
