Job summary

Pair Connect Group in Melbourne seeks a hands-on CAD Systems Specialist to improve how CAD is used across a large engineering environment. The role focuses on systems, standards, automation, governance and continuous improvement.

You will own the CAD environment, work with technical teams, managers and IT, and drive adoption of new tools and processes while delivering measurable efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Requires strong AutoCAD capability and a solid understanding of CAD systems within an engineering or technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience improving CAD standards, templates and workflows.
• Experience with CAD governance, automation and continuous improvement is highly desirable.

We’re looking for a hands‑on CAD Systems Specialist to improve how CAD is used across a large engineering environment.

This is not a project drafting role.

The focus is onsystems, standards, automation, governance and continuous improvement.

You’ll be expected to identify what can be improved, implement better ways of working and show the impact those changes have had across the business.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the CAD environment and work closely with technical teams, managers and IT.

Key responsibilities:

• Improve CAD standards, templates and workflows
• Maintain and develop the AutoCAD environment
• Identify and automate inefficient processes
• Develop CAD tools, libraries, menus and templates
• Support users with complex CAD issues
• Implement software upgrades and system improvements
• Support CAD governance across the business
• Explore AI and digital tools that improve technical workflows
• Train and mentor CAD users
• Work with stakeholders to drive adoption of new systems and processes

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting and mentoring technical users

Exposure to12D, GIS, Synergy, Autodesk platforms, digital engineering or AI toolswill be highly regarded.
