Job summary

Beilby Downing Teal is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter in Newcastle to review, update and standardise technical drawings across ~30 facilities. You will convert legacy Public Works drawings to the new standard and produce Works As Executed (WAE) documentation for O&M manuals.

Immediate start in a project-based, detail-focused role. The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a casual three-month contract at competitive hourly

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter for an initial three-month contract, commencing as soon as possible. The role will focus on reviewing, updating and standardising technical drawings across a portfolio of approximately 30 facilities.

Working independently, you will be responsible for converting legacy Public Works drawings into a new drawing standard and producing accurate Works As Executed (WAE) documentation for inclusion within Operations & Maintenance manuals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented AutoCAD professional who is available to start immediately, enjoys project-based work and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret existing Public Works drawings and documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience as a CAD Drafter, Draftsperson or AutoCAD Technician
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency and technical drafting capability
• Ability to interpret existing drawings and replicate drawing standards accurately
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your workload independently
• Availability to commence at short notice
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, utilities, construction, infrastructure or building services environments will be highly regarded
