Job summary

Beilby Downing Teal Pty Ltd seeks an experienced CAD Drafter for an initial three-month casual contract in Newcastle. The role focuses on converting legacy Public Works drawings to a new standard and producing Works As Executed (WAE) documentation for O&M manuals.

You will work independently to review, redraw, and standardise drawings across about 30 facilities, ensuring accuracy and consistency while meeting tight timeframes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a CAD Drafter or AutoCAD technician.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency and ability to translate legacy drawings into new standards.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review existing Public Works drawings and documentation.
• Convert and redraw legacy drawings to current drafting standards.
• Produce accurate Works As Executed (WAE) drawings for O&M manuals.
• Maintain drawing registers and project documentation for ~30 buildings.
• Work autonomously to meet project timeframes.
