Job summary

SYNC's pioneering prefabrication, digital design, and manufacturing processes are setting a new benchmark in the prefabricated construction industry. We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our design team on a 12-month fixed term contract in Melbourne, bringing our bathroom pods from design through to manufacture.

You will develop accurate 2D and 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Vault, collaborate with Design, Project and Production teams, and help ensure

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years' CAD design/drafting experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
• Experience creating detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturability and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling and design of bathroom pods and assemblies.
• Produce and maintain detailed technical and shop drawings.
• Coordinate design with production to reflect manufacturing requirements.
• Identify clashes and resolve issues before production.
• Manage drawing revisions and version control in Vault.
• Ensure drawings meet Australian Standards and project specs.
• Contribute to standardised models and processes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, designers, and production teams.
