Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking motivated Trade Assistants/General Labourers to support builders, landscapers and industrial sites across the region. Immediate start, casual assignments with weekly pay and strong chances for permanent roles.

You'll perform varied tasks from site prep to material handling, use PPE, hold a White Card, and travel to site locations. Earn $35.11 per hour plus 11.5% super and a $22 daily travel allowance, with typical weekly earnings around $1,400+.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card and a current Driver Licence are preferred.
• Able to perform physical work and travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
