Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking a Gardening Assistant to support a range of landscaping, construction and industrial projects across the region. You will perform site preparation, manual handling and assist qualified tradespeople, with reliability and a strong work ethic essential.

You'll earn $35.11 per hour plus superannuation and a $22 daily travel allowance, with typical weekly earnings advertised. Immediate start and ongoing casual assignments offer regular shifts with potential permanent

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Driver Licence with reliable transport preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up

• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
