Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is actively seeking a Gardening Assistant to support diverse projects in landscaping, construction and industrial settings. You will work with skilled teams, perform general labouring duties and assist tradespeople on various sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple industries including landscaping, construction, warehousing, shopfitting, and more
• Assist qualified tradespeople and perform general labouring duties
• Site preparation, material handling, digging, lifting, packing and assembling
• Container unloading, site clean-ups and final cleaning tasks

What You'll Be Doing

• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For
