Job summary

Project 717 is seeking a motivated Cabinet Making Apprentice to join our growing team in Queensland. This full-time apprenticeship offers hands-on training across cabinet and joinery manufacturing, reading plans, cutting and finishing cabinetry, and on-site installation.

No prior experience required—school leavers are encouraged to apply. You will learn from experienced tradespeople in a busy, modern environment and have opportunities to develop into a skilled cabinet maker with a nationally

Job description

Project 717 is looking for a motivated Cabinet Making Apprentice to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a genuine career in cabinet making and joinery while learning from experienced tradespeople in a busy, modern manufacturing environment.

We work across a range of residential and commercial projects, manufacturing and installing kitchens, cabinetry and custom joinery.

About the Role

As a Cabinet Making Apprentice, you will receive hands-on training across all aspects of the trade, including:

• Cabinet and joinery manufacturing
• Reading plans, drawings and specifications
• Cutting, assembling and finishing cabinetry
• Learning to operate modern machinery and CNC equipment
• Hardware and component installation
• Kitchen and joinery installation
• Working with a range of board products and materials
• Quality control and attention to detail
• Safe use of tools, machinery and equipment
• Factory and on-site work

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is genuinely interested in becoming a qualified Cabinet Maker
• Is reliable, punctual and willing to work
• Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn
• Takes pride in their workmanship
• Can follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Is willing to learn both factory manufacturing and on-site installation

Previous experience is not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
