MACRO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Butcher | Retail Meat Processing Specialist in Melbourne to craft high-quality retail meat cuts for a reputable fresh food retailer. This permanent full-time position offers a structured 40-hour week with an early start, weekend rotation, and comprehensive employee benefits.

Responsibilities include breaking down whole animals into retail portions, presenting products hygienically, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and stock rotation.

Qualifications

• Certified butcher with proven qualification.
• Experience breaking down whole lambs and pigs; some beef knowledge.
• Right to work in Australia (Permanent Residency).

Responsibilities

• Deconstruct large meat cuts and carcasses into retail portions.
• Prepare and present meat products hygienically for retail display.
• Support stock rotation, cleaning, and maintain high hygiene in the butchery area.
• Coordinate with butchery assistants and other fresh food sections for smooth operations.
• Provide knowledgeable customer service when needed.
