Job summary

Andrews Meat Industries at the LIDCOMBE site is seeking an experienced butcher for a full-time permanent role. The position offers an annual salary not less than $79,423 plus super.

You will be involved in boning, trimming, portioning, and bandsaw tasks while maintaining quality standards and working within a team. Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience and Cert II/III Meat Processing are preferred, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing and boning is preferred.
• Cert II/III Meat Processing is advantageous but not essential.
• Proven high level of knife sharpening skills.
• Knowledge of quality requirements is important.
• Ability to work in a team and take direction.
• Good communication skills and professional presentation.
• Demonstrates integrity and a strong work attitude.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Boning out raw materials such as Leg of Lamb.
• Beef rib work and trimming fat to spec.
• Frenching / bird caging and hand portioning.
• Prepping product, splitting into halves (e.g., pork spare ribs).
• Bandsaw operation.

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Butcher in our LIDCOMBE site. It's a full-time position with annual salary not less than $79,423 plus superannuation. This is a unique opportunity to join a global organisation with a local community feel.

Main Responsibilities include but not limited to: Boning out raw materials; e.g. Leg of Lamb

Beef Rib (70% of work) Trimming Fat off product – different specs

Frenching / bird caging Hand Portioning Prepping product then splitting in half i.e. pork spare ribs

Bandsaw Operation About You

Previous experience (ideally 2-3 years) Relevant qualification (Cert II/ III Meat Processing) advantageous but not essential Proven high level of knife sharpening skills

Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction Good communication skills
