Job summary

Advanced Design Technology (ADT) is seeking a proactive Business Support Officer based in Fyshwick, Canberra, to provide admin and business support across the organisation. You will work within the Corporate Services team, gaining exposure to procurement, travel, onboarding, records and stakeholder coordination.

The role offers development opportunities within administration and professional certification, with reporting to the Executive/Personal Assistant.

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for this position, candidates must have the legal right to live and work in Australia. Applicants are also required to either hold, or be eligible for, an Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 minimum).

About the Role

The Business Support Officer role sits within the Corporate Services team to provide day-to-day administrative and business support across the organisation. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of corporate functions, including assisting with record keeping, meeting and interview coordination, correspondence, travel and accommodation bookings, invoice support, onboarding administration, event and operational support.

Working closely with teams within the organisation across Finance, and Business Development, this role reports to the Executive/Personal Assistant and will create excellent opportunity for development of administrative skills towards professional certification.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Support Officer will:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the business
  • Assist with basic finance administration, including raising purchase orders
  • Maintain records, documents and filing systems
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation bookings
  • Schedule meetings and interviews and provide related administrative support
  • Assist with onboarding & offboarding administration for new staff
  • Help prepare correspondence, reports and other business documents
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to support business operations
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as, and when, may be required.

  • Exposure to onboarding, recruitment support or general HR administration
  • A proactive approach and willingness to apply initiative
  • An interest in building a career in administration, business support or operations
  • Experience in a professional services, technology, defence or government-related environment
