About the Role

Business Studies Teacher

St Aloysius' College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and suitably qualified Business Studies Teacher to join our outstanding Humanities Faculty on a full-time, ongoing basis commencing at the start of the 2027 school year.

The successful candidate will bring strong subject expertise and a commitment to innovative pedagogy and contemporary classroom practice that both supports and challenges students to achieve their potential.

They will demonstrate a passion for teaching excellence and an ability to make learning relevant, engaging and meaningful through the integration of current business trends, real-world case studies, and authentic learning experiences.

The successful candidate will inspire students to connect classroom learning with the contemporary business landscape through the exploration of entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, ethical decision-making, and emerging industries. They will create engaging learning experiences that develop students' commercial awareness, critical thinking, and confidence to navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

Reporting to the Head of Humanities, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or early career teacher to play an active role in fostering intellectual curiosity, encouraging students to engage with contemporary economic and business issues, and contributing to the academic, pastoral, and co-curricular life of the College.

Your Application

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• Commitment to the Catholic Education of boys in the Jesuit Tradition;
• Appropriate Secondary teaching qualifications and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NESA, NSW legislation and College policy;
• Prior experience or demonstrated capacity to teach Stage 6 Business Studies course;
• Demonstrate capacity and willingness to teach across other Humanities subject areas is desirable;
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of NESA based programs;
• Proven ability to facilitate a warm, engaging and high-quality learning environment that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;
• Commitment to academic excellence;
• Possess a valid Working with Children Check;
• Strong commitment to child safeguarding principles.
