Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking a Business Resilience Manager to strengthen TAL’s ability to withstand disruption by building a resilient, well‑prepared organisation. You’ll work with stakeholders across TAL to embed CPS 230 outcomes and lead continuity exercises.

Ideal candidates will have experience in business continuity, operational risk, crisis management or disaster recovery and be ready to take the next step in their career in a leading, inclusive insurer with a flexible, supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • Understanding APRA CPS 230 requirements to support resilience and continuity practices.
  • Clear, confident communication with stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong ability to analyse processes and dependencies to guide recovery priorities.
  • Knowledge of business continuity, resilience frameworks and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen TAL’s enterprise resilience by uplifting continuity documentation aligned to CPS 230.
  • Identify and validate critical operations, dependencies and tolerances to guide recovery priorities.
  • Lead BIA and BCP challenge and approval to ensure robust, actionable continuity plans.
  • Shape severe‑but‑plausible scenarios into practical recovery strategies with business and technology partners.
  • Design and facilitate continuity and crisis exercises that build organisational readiness and drive improvement.
  • Represent Business Resilience across committees and stakeholder forums to influence decision‑making.
  • Oversee business disruption and third‑party continuity assurance to safeguard service continuity.

Job Description

This role as a Business Resilience Manager strengthens TAL’s ability to withstand disruption by building a resilient, well‑prepared organisation. You'll work closely with stakeholders across TAL to build practical resilience capability, facilitate scenario exercises and help embed CPS 230 outcomes that make a real difference. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in operational resilience, business continuity or risk management. You may already be working in business continuity, operational risk, crisis management or disaster recovery and be looking to take the next step in your career.


In This Role You Will


  • Strengthen TAL’s enterprise resilience by uplifting continuity documentation aligned to CPS 230.

  • Identify and validate critical operations, dependencies and tolerances to guide recovery priorities.
