Job summary

MSS Security in Adelaide, SA, is seeking a Business Manager to lead security service delivery across a portfolio of clients. You will report to the Operations Manager, directing a skilled management team, ensuring contractual commitments are met, and driving profitability and growth.

Responsibilities include building strong client relationships, coaching frontline staff, overseeing safety and compliance, and identifying opportunities for new business while contributing to proposals and tenders.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or labour-intensive service environments.
• Experience managing a large workforce.
• Experience dealing with client contracts, service delivery, financial performance and operational risk.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities, contribute to proposals, quotations and tenders.
• Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and conflict-resolution skills.
• Relevant qualifications in leadership/management and/or business management.
• Active SA driver’s license.
• Australian citizenship with NV1 clearance (or willingness to obtain).

About the role

The position is primarily responsible for providing the delivery of security services across a portfolio of clients in SA. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a senior leadership role with accountability for service delivery, client relationships, workforce performance, safety, compliance, profitability and growth. You will lead through a strong management team, maintain visible presence with clients and employees and translate contractual commitments into consistent, commercially sound operational outcomes.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Lead the end-to‐end delivery of security services across client sites.
• Ensure contractual service levels, customer expectations and operational standards are consistently achieved.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, resolve issues and continuously improve service delivery.
• Develop and maintain a strong leadership team by providing guidance, coaching and professional development to frontline employees.
• Identify and convert growth opportunities within existing portfolio
• Support new customer acquisitions, and contribute to proposals, quotations and tender submissions
• Champion health, safety, wellbeing and environmental performance through proactive risk management
• Ensure compliance with security licensing, contractual obligations, relevant Award requirements and Company policies

Skills & experience

• Previous experience in security or a comparable labour intensive service environment.
• Extensive experience managing a large workforce.
• Proven experience in dealing with client contracts, service delivery, financial performance and operational risk
• Business development capability with experience in identifying growth opportunities, contributing to proposals, quotations and tenders.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
• Relevant qualifications in leadership management and/or business management
• A current SA driver's licence
• Australian Citizien with a NV1 clearance (or willing to obtain)
