Job summary

MSS Security is seeking a Security Site Lead to oversee daily security services at a Data Centre located in Melbourne. The role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and a client-focused approach.

The successful candidate will manage up to 15 officers, ensure compliance with licences and training, and handle incident response. Australian citizenship and Positive Vetting clearance are required or sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a security team leader, supervisory or managerial role.
• Prior data centre experience is highly regarded.
• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold or willing to obtain a Positive Vetting clearance (sponsorship available).
• Must be able to supply referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
• Must hold a Valid Victorian Security Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and mentor a team of up to 15 security officers, managing performance, attendance and presentation.
• Oversee daily security operations, ensuring site procedures and client requirements are upheld.
• Conduct site inspections and toolbox briefings to ensure security officers maintain licences and training.
• Respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies, ensuring escalation and documentation.
• Manage shift drops and site coverage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding promptly to service requests.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Security Site Lead to oversee the daily operations of security services at a Data Centre located in Melbourne.

This position requires a Positive Vetting clearance. A competitive allowance of up to $20,000 per year will be provided to successful applicants who hold or obtain the clearance.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Team leadership :Lead, support and mentor a team of up to 15 security officers, managing performance, attendance and presentation.

• Security operations: Oversee daily security operations, ensuring site procedures and client requirements are upheld.

• Site compliance: Conduct site inspections and toolbox briefings to ensure security officers maintain required licences and training.

• Incident management: Respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and documentation.

• Operational coverage: Manage shift drops and site coverage.

• Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding promptly to service requests.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a security team leader, supervisory or managerial role.

• Prior data centre experience is highly regarded.

• Must be an Australian Citizen.

• Hold or willing to obtain a Positive Vetting clearance (sponsorship available).
