Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or an acceptable equivalent under the Standards for RTOs.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
• Vocational competency in business and management at or above the level being delivered, demonstrated through relevant qualifications and/or industry experience.
• At least 1 year of experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training (2 years or more preferred).
• Sound knowledge of training packages, units of competency, the principles of assessment and the rules of evidence.
• Sound knowledge of Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, Canvas or similar platforms.
• Understanding of the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
• Familiarity with RTO training delivery and assessment processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of student privacy, data security and records management principles.
• Compliance with organisational policies, privacy requirements and records management procedures.
• Contribution to continuous improvement of digital learning systems.
• High level of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with students from diverse language backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nationally recognised training across business and management units.
• Conduct face-to-face and blended training sessions using slides, videos, case studies and online tools.
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback to determine competency.
• Maintain accurate academic records in Moodle and RTO Manager.
• Lead validation and moderation of assessment tools and judgements.
• Prepare course documentation for audits and external compliance checks.
• Engage with industry representatives to keep programs current.
• Assist with development and implementation of new online courses and digital resources.
• Provide LMS training and guidance to trainers and ensure smooth daily LMS operations.
